Tyllich's cottage
Ferdinandov - Jizerské hory

Tyllich's cottage is situated in the picturesque village Ferdinandov in Jizerske mountains, near town Hejnice with significant place of pilgrimage called basilica Navštívení Panny Marie.

Ferdinandov was settled in 1781 at empty land in desforested enclave between two streams „Malý“ and „Velký Štolpich“.

In the village you can find arboretum with original and exotic wood species, watterfalls in near former natural reserve Štolpichy (now „Jizerskohorské bučiny“). Another place of interest is memorial plaque on the house number 15 where is written that at that place fictive czech genius Jára Cimrman was seen for the last time.

Ferdinandov is ideal starting place for hiking and cycling to the most beautiful parts of Jizerské mountains, which offer also well prepared cross-country tracks in winter time.

Nearby spa-town Lazne Libverda can trot out with Singltrek, which is first net of singltreks in CZ and was projected for maximal experience of bikeriding with regard to nature.
